It is one of the easiest of all the kinds to naturalise, and spreads rapidly, but is usually supposed not to bear seed.
All the forms, especially ornatus and recurvus, naturalise perfectly, and of recent years bulbs have been dug on the Pyrenees by the thousand for naturalisation.
Aubrietias are easy to naturalise in rocky places, and may be easily got from seeds, cuttings (young unflowered pieces being the best), or by division.
