The large parish church of St Teilo has a low embattled Perpendicular tower.
This is a beautiful specimen of Perpendicular work, embattled, flanked by spired turrets, and covered with panel work.
It has interesting brasses of the 15th and 16th centuries and an early embattled tower.
It is an episcopal see, and possesses a Gothic cathedral, dating from 1524, and constructed with massive embattled walls and belfry so as to resemble a fortress.
The church of St Michael has a Norman square embattled tower surmounted by a spire, and an apsidal chancel.
