Infrared light has less energy than visible light.
This is because the mirrored coating can be manufactured to reflect visible light of a certain range, so the color that people see being reflected off of your glasses can be anything you like.
A beam of X-rays is diffracted by the electrons in a crystalline material, just as visible light is diffracted by larger objects.
Thus only infrared light will be seen without any visible light or other reflections or refractions.
The reality is that incandescent lamps are really much better near infrared sources than visible light sources!
